well u can try , have set to 3 then 4 then 5. I want the 5 for more flow. My mcw80 is very restrictive but best cooler for gpus. The non var speed one is set @ 4. So it mite make a wine @ 5 speed . I DONT Know . I got mine is the -b non variable speed . As for tops, get one that best suits your needs. Like res+top on the 5inch bays. all depends on what your needs. haf 932 was my 1st water cooling case then 700d.

My mcp-655 is not noticable at all over my silenx 120mm turned down to 700 rpm.
