Thanks for all the opinions. Is a 950 more powerful than a 2300? I think he will probably end up with similar performance no matter which route I chose no?

Do you mean 2300 or 2500K? 'Cause there 'aint such thing as a 2300K

The 950 will perform better than the 2300 for sure, probably at similar levels to a 2500K in most things. It has HT though, which will make it better than any stock i5 in some video rendering and stuff.

Whoops meant 2300, as that is what he would be getting if I don't sell him my 950.

Yeah, well like I said the 950 is going to be a bit faster than a 2300, but in most things I don't think you'll notice it.
