950/1450 clocks, Runs games fine no problems no arti's.

Browsing the net or doing anything on a windows desktop causes artifacts, anyone heard of this?

What are your idle clocks at? They could be dropping too low.

Did it happen when you first got the card, with no oc's?

EDIT: It only does this when OC'd past 900/1400 and only on windows desktop.

EDIT2: And it's not a constant thing, it only does it when opening/closing windows or minimizing/maximizing. Even then it's only like 20% of the time.

Weird, but I guess it's not stable when you overclock it past 900/1400.

Yea I was thinking that, but it doesn't arti in games. Which is why I asked thinking it might be something else.

Maybe cause the 6970 isn't officially supported by my drivers? 10.11

When you stop gaming, hit reset to default clocks. Otherwise it will run in the overclocked state (3D clocks).

This might be why.
Upgrade to 10.12a and see if it helps.

Up the voltage.

My 5850 causes a VPU recovery (white screen) when I watch any youtube video whilst it's overclocked.
