Hi,

I hope that anyone can help me here.
Here is my pc specs :

I was under a stable 3.8ghz OC. I decided to try a 4.2 OC. After I tried some settings from a i7 920 user found on a website (200x21), it booted right, the temps were looking really good. Then I tried to run prime95 and the PC you restart itself after 1 second. I tried starting a game, it does the same thing. The BSOD is :
DRIVER_IRQL_LESS_OR_EQUAL
stop 0x000000D1 ( 0x094A, 0x0D, 0x08, 0x94A0

Here are my bios setting, note that it is a 930 with a x58a ud3r mobo :

DRAM
Performance Enhance : standard
multiplier : x8
DRAM timing selectable : quick

Voltage
Load line calibration : standard
cpu Vcore : normal(1.15625) + 0.075

Ok thanks, I'll try. How to know if I need to increase or decrease? Don't wanna burn anything.

BTW I edited my OP, it's 200x21, not 200x19. 200x19 was my last 3.8 setup.

Hmm.. good question. I don't have experience with your actual board, I just had a little BSOD info handy.

What say you OCN brothers, what is the QPI/VTT max here? Is this even the right lead?

EDIT: Have you visited the X58 thread yet? There's quite a bit of info there.

After looking at other 4.2ghz profile, I tried changing the cpu Vcore, cause my QPI/VTT looked to be in the same range as the average user. I changed the Vcore from ''normal(1.15625) + 0.075'' to 1.3375 in the bios.

I'm running prime95 for 10-15 min now without problem. All the temps are between 68 and 77 C at 100% load. It seems to be in the right direction, since I wasn't able to run it more than 1 second before my pc decide to restart.

I'm gonna let it run for a while. Gonna post my results.

The test still working for 3 cores. The 4th core (6 and 7 cause of HT on) had an error.

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
