Hi Alex, can you tell me how long is MSI warranty on mobos and GPUs in EU? Mine were bought from France if that makes a difference. Also do I need to RMA with the seller or I can do it directly with you(MSI)?
Thanks!

Is Msi going to make use of the "p" switch on the 6970 lightning on the bois switch?

I have a question can you tell me why there is no bios switch on the r6950 twin frozr ii. But then for the r6950 twin frozr iii it was brought back and the switch was also moved there seam to be two settings a performance and silent setting. I am curious as to the thought process behind these two cards.

And thank you for being so cool and taking the time to answer our questions. I am also very happy with my first set of msi gpu's.

my guess: because unlock/OC is equal to OC only
when TFIII was released MSI published a BIOS claiming that is unlocking the shaders, unlocking the OC limit and giving you 3-5% more performance. I guess that was supposed to be a selling point, but then AMD start lasercutting the chips and MSI quickly retracted. Search the net for same clock comparisons of 6950 and 6970 to see that performance is (almost) the same and not only this, but 6950 has way better performance per watt ratio.

Lol you see that is my point and why I am asking him and not other people because there is a lot of speculation.
And if chips are being laser cut now, as it was suspected, then it's quite possible none will be able to be unlocked the laser cutting was reported a long time ago.
And about laser cutting the chips where is this supposed laser cut supposed to be taking place, TSMC or if they switched to GloFo maybe? and TSMC packages the chip or do they have it done some place else?
I am more in Cline to believe that they are using a read only bios like the back up bios with the cards with the switch.

the reason I answered is because I am sure he is not gonna/can't comment on this. at MSI forums the only official thing I saw was "do it at your own risk". This thread at OCUk was started by the MSI rep there and the link he provided contained this, but posted on MSI UK server, two days later he *** Removed pending updated information *** and stop commenting.
on a side note my card unlocked, but the gain was within the margin of error(1931p vs 1940p in Combustor Extreme preset) and heavy artifacting would be produced sometimes even on desktop

Can't. You need to order them separately and then add #140 to the end of your address on one to make it look like an apartment complex. Pretty sure the name on the card has to be different too. So you'll need a gift card for that.
