Potential Update (case and possibly CPU)

Guys im gonna toss my case out in a month or two and gonna get something proper from Newegg. Today I think I saw a beast mid tower case

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...&Tpk=haf%20912

Yes, a HAF 912. Sure its not as big as a HAF 922 or 932, but I have to stay with my economic limitations and I'd say that this case will suit me well. I also am planning to switch to a AM3 processor. Could I just get a Athlon II dual core for cheap and just overclock it ? Or should I get a Phenom II X2 Black Edition ? Or Any other opinions on the case and cpu ? For the case I dont wanna pay no more than 65 dollars and I'm fine with a Dual Core or Quad Core processor (I do gaming but not heavy gaming)

Thanks if you respond

the case upgrade is fine but y upgrade from pI to athlon x2 or PII x2!
either get a pII x4 or just save the money.

Is it normal for a pI to run @ 40 degrees idle then reach up to 60 degrees when playing games ?

Forget about a Phenom II x4 on a motherboard with unheatsinked 4+1
But an x2 (non-unlocked) would be fine

heck yea. But dude, one time the CPU got up to 80 degrees though. Should i still get a more lesser cpu ? Like since the Phenom I is a 125 W cpu, should I get like a 65 or 80 watt just to be in the safe zone ?

Yea, Phenom II X4 is too much for me right now. Powerwise and Financial Wise. The Phenom I is a good cpu too but I think its best to upgrade to current standards which in case, a AM3 CPU

I am not suggesting the upgrade to PII X4 but asking you to think if this is actually and upgrade or degrade. Surely the dual core will have more speed but will also have two less cores. If it gives any performance benefit, then go for it. otherwise stick with what you got.

Yea, If i can get a Phenom II X2 Black Edition, i can still unlock my cores if i have to, just in case.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007671&IsNodeI d=1&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&CompareItemLis t=343|19-103-817^19-103-817-TS,19-103-846^19-103-846-TS,19-103-871^19-103-871-TS,19-103-896^19-103-896-TS

I was looking @ these and I could get a Athlon X2 and still get good performance even with a Dual Core. the Athlon X2 uses almost half the wattages my Phenom I uses so thats a pro as well
