What a drag that you have been put through this. Just a thought - have you tried to reflash the bios or upgrade the bios? Maybe there is a fix in a later version?

For some reason ASUS has not updated the m pro bios. It still uses the launch bios of 0405. I'll try flashing the bios to see if that works. Also where is the JMB function so I can disable it.

Could very well be, once I turn off the marvell controller the no hdd screen stops appearing.
