what file do I need to update my bios?

Thread Starter
I have the Gigabyte 1155 P67 UD4 motherboard

I went to here: http://gigabyte.com/products/product...3648&dl=1#bios

I downloaded the file and got a zip file. I extracted the file and there are three files:
autoexec
p67aud4.f7b
FLASHSPI

Do I just need p67aud4.f7b on a flash drive to flash my BIOS?

download @BIOS from their wbesite, if you installed the one off the disc, uninstall it and reinstall the one off their website, an update wont work.

Then select BIOS from file that you downloaded and it will flash it in windows. Do NOT OC while you reflash BIOS.

I tried that and it fails. Every time.

Can I just flash the bios manually in the BIOS with the .f7b file?

no it shouldn't fail at all if its the latest @BIOS from their website. BTW what keyboard do you have specifically? like down to the part number?

Metadot Das Keyboard Model S (not the silent model, but Model S)

Anyways, I managed to get it to work. It failed a couple times and on the third go for whatever reason it worked. Go figure. It's good now so I'm happy lol.

Thanks for the help

yea no problem, there was an issue with @BIOS for windows not working. Only the one from their website worked and had to be installed with the other erased.
