Xigmatek Dark Knight good enough for an I7?

Basically the topic. I recently bought this new rig and the stock cooler just isn't cutting it(pushing 95C ). The problem is though that outside of the H50(which is out of my budget), the only cooler that looks like it will clear my ram is the Dark Knight. It looks like from both the measurements and pictures that the Dark Knight is pretty slim. However, I've heard from a few different sources that it isn't really sufficient to cool an I7, especially not an overclocked I7.

So, if anyone could share their experiences with this cooler or suggest another heatsink that will clear my ram, I'd really appreciate it.

I had one on my i7 860 and Q9550, preformed extremely well on both (although my OCs were moderate, only 3.5 and 3.4, respectively).

Have u checked the CM Hyper 212+ ? I've used that cooler on one of my friend's i7 and pushed the CPU to 4Ghz with the temps below 65C

And I think it wasnt too big

keeps my quad at 50 on a really really hot day. although i only run 3.6-3.8, but my vcore is usually at 1.5 1.55. should keep it under 70c id say. and you can ghetto rig it for push pull

The CM is a tad bigger. It should still fit, though I'll have to measure to be sure. Which of the two would you say is the better cooler?

A DK in push/pull with tape mod runs extremely cool. My vcore is 1.45v with my PII and SMP folding sits at 47c.
