Perhaps not all of them do, but you certainly hear more people saying their Deltas tick than you do saying their San Aces tick or squeal.

Of course there is a point at which you get diminishing returns. If adding 500rpms gets to a 10C drop, then adding 500 more gets you a 7C drop, your returns are diminishing.

Was the poll for someone wanting to point this fan at their face while gaming, or were they going to put this on some sort of cooling device? It was to be put on some sort of cooler you say??? Then point is valid

It produces a high quality of noise, cools well enough for nearly anyone, and undervolts extremely well for a 38mm thick fan. Do we have to go over this again?

Report back.

It makes a difference. Especially at higher temps.
The difference between going from 1000 rpms to 2000 rpms is larger than the difference between going from 2000 to 3000 or 3000 to 4000 etc....

That San Ace at 12v isn't going to cool much worse than the Delta. Hell I had a pair of San Aces on my cooler and it lowered temps by maybe 1-2C at 12v compared to a single San Ace.

Anyway I'm done discussing this. You obviously don't get it.

I could also argue that i see more people with deltas then san aces.

I dont hear a lot about Hitachi drives failing because there arent may of them compared to seagate and WD

No you fail to understand

The law of diminished returns isnt a parabola.

it doesn't matter where it is. The delta would perform better.

See but thats the thing. You rather compromise performance just to under volt better.

No i get it. Simply you believe that the san ace is better because its sounds better. And you rather have a hotter pc then not be able to under volt as well as the next guy.

I understand you i just think its stupid.

I would rather have a PC 1-2C warmer (which is insignificant), and significantly quieter. How is that stupid? Again, are you slow?

Well it depends on what you want out of a fan. If you are deaf, or want max cooling regardless of noise, obviously a 4000RPM+ fan is for you. If you are looking for almost all of the cooling power of a 4000 RPM Delta fan while also being versatile and quieter, the San Ace is unquestionably a better choice, you can't even argue that.

it wont be Significantly quieter. It will be Slightly quieter.

And if those fans are anything like the ones i have it wont tick or sequel either.

So again. You rather have your computer slightly quieter and slightly warmer.

I have to some up my opinion of this whole thing.

If I am going to spend that much money on fans, I am going to buy the fastest, highest CFM, and highest pressure fan I possibly can, then put them on my fan controller.

This gives me the ability to adjust my fans to whatever noise i want, when my computer is idling, who cares if my idle temps are high. I don't. I will turn the fans down to the point of not hearing them, plain and simple.
When I am gaming or using my computer I have a headset, which prevents me from hearing the outside world around me. so fan noise is not an issue.

Don't tell me I will hear the fans through my headphones, I won't.

My father has a 2000+ CFM 2 stage dust collector directly below my bedroom for his wood working shop. It is loud enough to need ear protection if you are in the same room, I can't hear it when on my computer.

I highly doubt that any Delta or San ace fan can be anywhere near as loud as that dust collector. 2 foot diameter blower, with a 2HP motor hooked to it, Yea it is LOUD!

San Ace is also harder to find and usually more expensive. They are both good fans. Buy what you like and fits your price. I got 20 metal deltas for 4 bucks each. I also have 10 San Ace 101 for 20$ each. And a high cfm San Ace for 25$.
