What would fold better, a quad core 965 @ ~4ghz or 7ghz on a single/dual core?

Quad at 4Ghz would get 9-10k PPD. Dual cores at 4Ghz get 3-4k PPD, so unlikely at 7Ghz it'll get more than the quad.

Of course, newer duals might perform better, so only way to find out is to actually try it. And when you do, post the results here, so we can all see:

I think it works well up to 32 cores, then starts to lose performance per core...

You can run multiple clients.

Plus once you have more than 8 threads, you can Fold -bigadv WUs. Much bigger WUs, but they also give much bigger bonuses. Standard i7s get ~25k with them, while 980xs get ~60k.

Oooo ok sounds a bit exotic and rather expensive!

I have done 69 points so far today go me lol not much of my RAM is being used, cores are at 49C and the GPU is at 69C, can't wait to get a H70 cooler to be happier with my load temp

The team is currently 3rd overal for points today

As I said, earlier, 69pt WUs are not SMP WUs. Most SMP WUs are either 481pts or 921pts (or around that).

You did add a passkey to your SMP client, right?

Yeah I added a passkey to it like you said in the guide, did I need to do the same with the GPU console? The CPU console has the passkey added though

No, don't put one on your GPU. Otherwise, you're set.
