see the thing is that many people on this forum have "favorites" when it comes to certain things and some may have just gotten a bad egg. however, i am very fond of sony products. i have a 55" sony lcd hdtv, a sony MUTEKI Mini hi-fi shelf system, a sony ps3, and sony tvs in my kids room. so in my opinion 200 bucks for a 5.1 1000w system is pretty awesome. some people just dont like the name "Sony". however, you do as you wish, just stating my opinion on sony products
