NZXT Extensions Warning about the 8 pin VGA!

alright folks,
i built my rig yesterday, after being almost done, i unveil a big mistake that NZXT has made here, the 8 pin VGA Extension (CBW-88V) which i ordered twice, doesn't fit ... The Plugs they used are set-off to match the EPS 8 pin but clearly packaged as vga extensions. It ruined the whole deal for me right now, as i wanted to have this rig done this weekend, obviously wont happen now.

heres an img to show you what it looks like in reality:

fail_cable.jpg

- Its the same issue with the female part on the extension, its designed for eps 8 pin and will not connect to a pci-e cable coming from the power supply.
- Also note that this is not just the white sleeve version, its also happened with a red one which i found out on amazon...

I ve sent them an email about this issue, as i have just now done my research on this specific cable extension, and found out that theres some more people with this kind of issue.

this is not to trashtalk their quality or whatever, its more of a heads up, so no more people need to be hit with this chaos...

Nzxt has contacted me today about this issue, they will replace the cables at their cost. so keep that in mind if you get stuck with the wrong plugs as well wink.gif

They seem to be excellent with their CS. I sent an email asking for pricing for extra fans for my case. They asked me to provide an invoice as all parts are free under their warranty program. Made me happy to know they were willing to send things to me that werent part of the original package.

not really, honestly they are one of the better companies in craftsmanship in their cases and such, i still like my panzerbox even over my 800d just because its easy to carry around on lan parties wink.gif, and theres no plastic garbage on it at all. but the 800d just provides more space and conceals my wc loop inside

i have all my extensions from them, it was just a factory issue they had with the 88v series to have the wrong plugs / headers attached, the quality of the sleeve is VERY nice and the cables are actually in color of the sleeving!

Are they on their company site? If not, could you link me to some of the products (other than the ones on newegg smile.gif)
