Logitech Z-2300 : Mega Review - Page 5

I have an almost new Z-2300 set sitting out in the garage. After I got decent Sennheiser headphones, I stopped using it completely. I need to sell it. I agree that it's sound is good for the price, but it is nothing like a good amp and speakers. Not even remotely close.

BTW, I paid $79.99 for it, on sale with free shipping.

Maybe I come across as condescending and an ass...I'm just very direct, always have been, and it probably comes off as a bit harsh online. I'm cool with that. Its not like I'm angry, would be pretty silly to get mad at something that at the end of the day doesn't matter at all.

I just have a strong opinion with some decent facts/experience to back it up. I've listened to/owned A LOT of computer speakers and a few pairs of bookshelf speakers ranging from AV30's all the way up to my friend's Sierra 1's. Therefore I think I have enough experience to compare audio quality of most "affordable" systems. Audio is subjective, yes, but when there are weakness in the product like the Z2300, the facts just don't lie.

Goodness me, every morning I get up and find war raging in this thread. I agree with you that Z-2300 has its own pitfalls, but then every PC speakers have their own pitfalls. None of them are perfect.

I respect your views ljason8eg but my request to you is, try to be a little bit kinder to newcomers. Just don't shun them. I personally respect views of every member, be he an audiophile or not.

I am not an audiophile. Do you consider yourself as one?
