Just an update, i dont have the 9800 or 5770 to test anymore. I swapped PSU's yesterday to no avail but when i plugged my mobo's floppy connector (back on the corsair) it stopped and i was gaming all yesterday afternoon and into the wee hours of the morning with no issues. No crashes, no framerate issues, no artifacts.

I power it on this morning, its doing it again (ive crashed 12 times in the last 20 minutes). Resetting my CPU/RAM OC to stock does nothing to help the situation. Im now at a complete loss as this is 2 days in a row the machine refuses to run in the morning when i first turn it on, yet was flawless when gaming the afternoon/night before. Though its definitely something video/power related, whether it be the 280 or my mainboard or my PSU (doubt its the PSU as it was doing this on a different unit), as my 7800GTX is now running fine....

Bump!

Just aonther update as im completely stumped.

computer will not load widnows with the 280 installed, with or without video drivers. it WILL boot up and run in safe mode.

the 7800GTX boots fine in normal mode with and without drivers and in safe mode. I can stress the 7800 with no issues at all.

did EVGA seriously send me a bad card to replace my bad card :\\. I wish my stupid 650i mobo would post with this card in it so i could see if it crashes on my other rig (it wouldnt even post with my old 9800GTX when i owned it).

Its the pink screen of the death. I had a 280 do the same thing. Keep sending them back.
Search the evga 200 fourms. There should plenty of posts on the subject. Some with my name still on them i'll bet!

Yea sorry you have it happen. I've seen people have 5 and 6 rma's before they finally get one that works.

I got lucky. First rma. I'm still using that same 280 every day. Chin up you will get one. It just takes time.
