There are no problems using a HDMI to DVI cable to connect a PS3 to the U2311H, as seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4Q78-G1xHA#t=3m56

Well I'm gunna keep an eye on the dell on eBay whilst keeping tabs on LG. I'd rather get the 24" over the 23" because it has a better panel.

If you go by TFTCentral's review, the U2311H is technically better than U2410. It has better blacks, contrast, out of the box colours, less ghosting and lower input lag, however this isn't to say the U2410 is a bad monitor, a lot of people are more than happy with them.

I read the reviews in that site and doesn't the U24 have a better panel than the U23? Does the U23 make up for it because it's newer?

The panel is higher end, it's a H-IPS vs the e-IPS in the U2311H. All this really gives is even better viewing angles and possibly slightly better colour reproduction, although both monitors are very good in this area.

The U2410 is also wide gamut, this can be a pro or a con depending on your usage and preferences. Of course there's also the size difference - it's 24" and 16:10 (1920x1200), the aspect ratio alone carries a big price hike.

About the wide gamut, a lot of people complain about the over saturation this causes, but at the same time some scenes or colours can look more vivid so you might actually prefer it, it's a bit of a personal preference. The vast majority of people I've seen use the U2410 in standard sRGB mode though, so the over saturation isn't so much of an issue.

If you can get the U2410 fairly cheaply, then go for it, the bigger size is very nice. Otherwise, the U2311H is a very good monitor for it's price.
