GTX 580 barely fits

Thread Starter
I am building my first computer and I bought the CoolerMaster Storm Scout. I actually haven't started assembly yet but I'm hearing rumors about the 580 not fitting. Some say that it barely fits. If it barely fits, does it present any issues with being so cramped so close to the drive bays? Are there cooling issues? Should I just scratch the case and go with a full tower? Thanks!

why just not see if it fits, if it doesn't bump into any part of the case you're fine.

Hi.

The GTX 580 extends about 1" beyond the edge of the motherboard.

So long as there is a direct air feed to the card you ought to be okay, but fwiw if it were me I would shop for a larger case.
