Most reliable hdd?

Thread Starter
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm looking for at least 1tb more likely 2tb to use as a back up drive.

I have a 1tb right now that is starting to get full and I'm paranoid about losing data.

Would this be my best option?

If you want a more reliable HDD, then get an enterprise one. These are binned drives.

If you are paranoid about losing data, don't rely on one HDD.

Duckie is right. Buy an enterprise drive if you want a single drive.
Although a better option is a Full RAID Array with Enterprise drives.
That means NOT Raid 0 or 1 because they dont do data loss prevention.

RAID1 does...

Or at least it does redundancy, which is not data loss prevention at all, but is basically what you're hinting at.

Remember that RAID of any kind is no substitute for backup. RAID protects your arrays, backup protects your data.
