A few months ago, the world realized what @Sylviebarak had known for a really long time already. That the Kinect, that optical sensory thingy which lets your video games “see†you and react accordingly, was bloody awesome.
Sylvie, you see, had been in on the whole thing ever since one of her best mates, the founder of a tiny startup in Israel by the name of Primesense, invented it in his basement. Or bomb shelter.
The early videos were a little shaky, but awesome none the less. You can check out a couple of them here:
This is pretty bloody awesome seeing where it come from

Move trumps Kinect every time. Two friends owned Move and Kinect respectively and I've found Move to be a HELL of a lot more fun. Move is actually more like what the Wii should have been. Even my friend who has Kinect agrees Move is so much better.

Another reason I think Move is better is because Kincet is basically half of Move. Move is camera plus sensor, Kinect is just camera.

Anyone tried the Gladiator game that comes with Move? Epic.

If anyone isn't impressed by what Microsoft has done with the Kinect then I strongly advise you to look up Computer Vision. It's a very difficult subject, and not one to scoff lightly at.

Using the Kinect I think it's a great piece of kit and I hope Microsoft use it in other areas than gaming. In businesses, for instance, it could be used for conferencing. One person could reach to the side and pull charts onto the screen or use it to flick through presentations.
Right, but MS were the first to implement it. We've had the technology for some time. It's not that amazing. The ability to interact with ovbjects on screen via a camera isn't new. The only innovation is the ability to take objects and use them to interact with a game, which again isn't actually an innovation so much as MS were the first to put this tech to use.

The Move can do what Kinect does, AND, has a motion controller. albeit, the Move doesn't have the programming to do what Kinect does, but I'm fairly certain that both Kinect and Move are going to be stealing ideas from one and other for the next few years.
