Tools Odds and Ends

Thread Starter
So I plan on building a beast and decided to go all out this time.
I have purchased my loop and my components. Now I need to order the tools and misc stuff. Please note that everything must be purchased online.

First off I plan on putting a GTX240 Sideways in the bottom of my 700d So I cn Push/Pull. In order to do this I will have to cutout a square hole in both sidepanels and a smaller sliver from the bottom for it to fit.

Second I am sleeving everything. I am going with a black/blue theme.

Third I want to cut a custom window.

I plan on ordering 2 rad grills, Rivet gun, 10 Rivets, Molex removers, sleeving kits, Cable tie kit, window kit.

I know I will need a way to cut the holes and have never done so before nor do I know the tools required. I heard of using a dremel(Crappy one) which we have at work, but never used cutting disc's before.

Has anyone lined the inside of their case with Dynamat? How much noise reduction do you think it will provide? I will be using 10 San Ace 9G1212H1011fans on my rads.

I am using a MCP355 w/XSPC Res top and a koolance heat sink and was wondering the best way to mount it in the case.

I grabbed a Bitspower X-station as it looks very useful. I need to mount that as well.

I am just looking for input and advice. Trying to get an order placed within the next couple of days. So everything arrives at the sametime.

waaait a sec... your avatar: 2e afsc? I was a 2e153 is why I ask. As far as tools, ordering from MNPCTech would be smart if they ship to Japan

A jig saw with a metal blade works good for straight cuts. A hole saw for drill makes excellent circles of course. Metal files both flat and round and yeah a dremel. Just some suggestions off the top of my head. I pretty much have a shop full of tools but these will do.

Oh yeah I almost forgot, Dynamat I have used before. It doesn't make that much of a difference if you have large fan openings or large openings period. If you have quite a closed case it will help.

For punching holes these work great! They are cheap to boot if you can get them from Harbor Freight. Of course these are for smaller holes.

Yeah, I use them for cable management on my Antec 900. They make it so easy its almost like punching holes in cheese. I wanted to punch more holes and went looking around the house to see if there was anything else...LOL.. I was originally going to rent these from a rental outfit but found out that Harbor Freight had them. You can buy better quality ones at Home Depot or Lowes but they are much more expensive. For PC work the one's from HF are more cost effective.
