If anyone wants to tip me how I can get back to ULTRA shaders which I've been using ever since I've bought it.. feel free to reply.

PS- I've tried to overpower it with pure SLi power, but no, failed.
What is "heavy shader card" ?????????

Looking at your PC spec it is hard to understand why it can't handle Starcraft II. The game requires a lot of CPU resources which you certainly have. Motherboard or RAM issue? How is you temperature on that overcloced CPU?

Pairing the 965 125W with an extremely weak (3+1) power phase (3+1 should never be used for >95W TDP processors, despite all ratings - and in fact most 3+1s only rated for 95W by ASUS & Gigabyte) on an MSI board and heatsinkless. I know many horror stories of MSI boards blowing up on 125W processors overclocked and stock speed alike, on better power phases (such as 4+1) that even have heatsinks on.
And you can definitely get better RAM than 1333 CL9 for $43.
Input appreciated from all!!!! I'll have my updated build soon! Cheers.

UPDATED WITH ALL YOUR SUGGESTIONS!!!!

I hope to get some advice, opinions and alternatives for my gaming rig on the budget (~$500). Not looking for the top of the line but plan to keep it and be able upgrade it in the future (desired features: overclocking and cross fire). Favorite games Starcraft II, Half-Life, Crysis, Day of Defeat, Civ, ...

The easy part:
CPU
AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition 3.2GHz

RAM
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 !!! 8-8-8-21 !!!
OCZ Special Ops Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 8-8-8-24
Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

Power Supply
Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W
XFX P1-650X-CAG9 650W ATX12V 2.2 / ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE

Hard Drive
SAMSUNG F3 HD502HJ SATA 500GB 7200 RPM

Motherboard choices
1. ASRock EXTREME3 870
2. Asus M4A79XTD-EVO
3. Asus M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3

Video card choices:
1. ASUS GeForce GTX 460 768MB (Fermi) ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP/2DI
2. EVGA GeForce GTX 460 SE 1GB (Fermi) 01G-P3-1366-TR
3. SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6850 1GB 100315L Video Card with Eyefinity
4. HIS H577FK1GD Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB

Case choices:
1. Rosewell CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid
2. XION XON-CBX01-RD CyborGX
3. RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WB
4. Antec Three Hundred Illusion ATX
5. NZXT Tempes Evo TEVO-001BK

Still in limbo about GPU. Go cheap (but enough for what I need at this point) with a possibility of CrossFire later. OR single BUT expensive 6850 which outperforms 5770 in CrossFire. ??????

IS MY CURRENT PSU GONNA BE ENOUGH FOR 2 6850 in CrossFire????

RAM is another problem. It is not about the money but speed. "RAM Fan" helped me a lot but also made me think so I am worried that I am missing something good.

Looking forward to the advice and discussion......

that psu can handle 6870 crossfire
6850 at 100% load draws around 160w , double that up and add 10% for crossfire bridge so around 350w for dual 6850 ur CPU will draw 125w (if u unlock 2 extra cores , 95w if not) at 100% on stock speed , OC'd to 3.8-4Ghz will draw around 200w which brings you to around 550w total power draw

AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition - $89.99
ASRock 870 EXTREME3 - $89.99
*G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) - $49.99
HIS H577FK1GD Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB - $129.99 ($99.99 after MIR)
Antec Three Hundred Illusion - $69.99
*Antec EarthWatts EA750 - $79.99
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB - $49.99

TOTAL: $ 559.93 ($539.93 after MIR)

My logic is this - it gets you what you want for right now. In the future you can Xfire the 5770 (which is more then enough for all modern games) and you have a power supply that can handle it. I suggested the GSkill cause that is some of the best DDR3 1600 made. The 1600 also gives you plenty of RAM speed.

Should I sacrifice the NZXT case and go with this XION case???

That would give me $40 for HD 6850 video card (instead of 5770)???

AM3 is a dead socket now; as in no new cpus. Zambezi won't support AM3, however, AM3+ will support AM3 cpus.

Personally, I'm stuck with my rig until BD is released. Awaiting Zambizzle.

I hear you brother I wish Zambezi was here today..... BUT there is no release date and I could wait 1-2 months but not 6!!!!!!!?????

Also, the new AM3+ boards will have premium price tag when initially released - don't you think?

That last one looks perfect, but the last thing I would change would still be the RAM. As I have said, there is no 1333 8-8-8 kit out there that is priced fairly. I usually recommend Kingston's HyperX Blu in these cases; 1600 CL9 for $40 AR is a pretty fair price, but now consider that this RAM has been shown to be capable of much more
