Well done for fixing the problem. Pretty strange not to boot if a USB keyboard is plugged in, but oh well. Computers are fickle beasts. Again well done and good luck!

1. There is no PCI-E 4-pin power cable
2. If you did manage to fit a PCI-E power cable in there, your system would blow up
3. Perhaps what you mean is the 4-pin extender that comes as an attachment to the 20-pin ATX connector (to make 24 pins). Perhaps you have this connector instead of the right one?

He maybe behind on post, no idea but as far as said, if the 4pin connector that hooks in with the 20pin does not go into the top left, it stays with the 20 pin connector if you have 24 pin mount on board, the individual 4pin (black/yellow) goes to top left, just RTFM! lol it will tell you more.

ps if you dont know what RTFM is (Read the Firetrucking Manual! (substituting the language to who dont want to see or hear)

no it said it had a 24pin when i bought it, but it is a OEM PSU, i do not see any other 4 pin connector so i would have to say that it is correct.
