5770's perform very, very close to a 4890, and overclock equally as amazingly. You don't necessarily need a 6xxx card, I think a single 5870 would be quite close to 2x 4890's, when you figure in that crossfire doesn't scale near 100% for each added card. Plus, 5870's can be found used pretty readily, the price premium would certainly be less than the $150 it costs for a TH2G unit. With AA and such, you may be very close to the 1 gb ceiling for your 4890's anyways.

My 2 cents
I see... I might have to look into 5870's then... Do realise I'm in the UK though here guys and I don't think it's gonna be easy for me to find a 5870 that cheap! Just really reluctant to sell something I've barely even used yet at such a reduced price :/ but if upgrading really would be worthwhile maybe I should consider it...

Also I was doing a bit of research and wouldn't I need one of those £90 active display port adapters because I had 3 monitors connected??

Been looking at the matrox triple head spec... And the Max spec res on the digital version is only 1680x1050... Where as with Eyefinity it'd be much higher right?? I just think in the long run getting a 5870 might actually be better... Can't believe I've actually come to this conclusion lol. Just a few questions though... Would my parts bottle neck at all?? And also would getting another 5870 in a few months time cause any issues? Like not being able to run multiscreen crossfire? Also do you really think If I overclocked my 5870 it could perform better than my 4890s @ 900MHz and 1GHz??

Edit: Might even go for the 6870... I heard these aren't too bad in crossfire. And I would be future-proofing myself...

6870 is the successor to the 5770. AMD changed the naming convention, the 6970 is now the same performance bracket as 4870/5870. The 6xxx series doesn't have any real new features over 5xxx, and while I am uninformed about the 6870's specs, the budget gaming card of any generation is usually memory size and bandwidth gimped decently hard, which is bad for a huge res setup.

Look up the 5870, there should be plenty of reviews. I couldn't tell you, as I have hardly paid attention to the 5xxx and 6xxx generations. Comes with being satisfied with one's current computer, I suppose.
