Yea.. So which headphones would you recommend? The 203 is $50 and the 428 is $75 at BestBuy. Yes I would buy them somewhere else, but I have this giftcard I have to use, so why not? So.. inputs please

Do you have recommendations for some decent headphones in the 40-70 dollar range?

JVC HA-RX700's or the Koss Portapro's would be my suggestion, with weight towards the RX700's in terms of an 'complete' sound experience. They're damn good headphones for under $50.

does any amount of difference in sound negate the concern of the difference in cost?

I have in the past had a somewhat exptensive* collection of headphones but theres are thin lines between different hi-fi cans and only one BIG line between skullcandy type headphones, and even the portapro's ( still have mine somewhere, replaced 8-9 times, 4-5 of those were on purpose ).

* this was an accident, but it makes sense whichever way it read to you initially.

EDIT: My answer if i were to have stayed OT would be "The cheaper one".

my answer when i had my collection, would have been to try them both.

HD 280 Pro? Also the HMD 280 Pros are decently priced as well for a mic add on.
