is this a misread?

While stressing on prime95, I can't seem to get this problem to go away with the power saving features on. In fact, with them off, it is still an issue. The core will be misread as a weird multiplier, but it seems the multi bumps down to 16x with or without turbo on... not sure what's doing it.

Seems weird. Anyone else have this problem? Run TMonitor for a minute and watch the cores droop down to their base clock speed?

Yup, it's definitely an error. Otherwise, I'd like to have your i7 with its 9568 multi (core 4). And so would NASA.

True.

But I'm confused about my other cores. They list themselves as running at full capacity, and then after a tiny bit of prime95 (about 10+ seconds), they start showing them going down to a 16x multiplier, then back up to the OC multiplier. Sometimes they fluctuate up to that weird number for who knows what reason.

So I'm trying to find someone with a ud4 board who can run TMonitor and see if the numbers fluctuate as well. It'd be nice to know if it's the motherboard randomly downclocking, or if it's the program misreading.

Well run 3d Mark Vantage (especially the CPU tests), or CineBench or another CPU-featuring bench, and if you get the score you're supposed to, then your CPU is working fine, and you can blame the error on TMonitor.

Thanks for the suggestion.

It is odd, I have all the power saving options off, yet TMonitor is showing my CPU as at 16x multiplier.

What I think is happening is TMonitor is showing where it thinks my CPU should be, rather than where it actually is. But I don't know.

I'd *love* it if someone else could run TMonitor with the 2600k and report back on what it's saying. Especially if they have a UD4 mobo.

Well based on some more research I found out TMonitor is not accurate and I downloaded ThrottleStop 2.97... now things are sounding like they should
