Safe 24/7 OC on GTX 580? - Page 3

post #21 of 23
I have 3 stable settings :

850/1700/2200 => 1,025V (Stock)
920/1840/2200 => 1,125V
930/1860/2200 => 1,150V

I have stock cooling and i use the fan@100%=5000rpm in games when OCed.

I never exceed 63°C on GPU in intensive game (BO, etc...), but I don't know how heat my VRM...

I only OC in games and I game about 30mns to 45mns per day...

Which of the three settings do you advise according to that ?

Thanks.

look at it this way....

do all your games play perfectly at 850core vs 915 core???

if so... y use extra power 24/7 if you don't need 2......

i run 800/1600/2000 24/7 on my cards

and i OC them to 900/1800/2300 for benching....

100% fan would drive me nuts not to mention possible extra wear on the fan, its simply not necessary with those overclocks, but each to there own I guess.
