p8p67 build night! Quick Question

Thread Starter
It's alive! P8P67 (vanilla) and i2500K. Bios is up and running. It recognizes my ram (all 16Gb) and speed. What's next? Do I update the bios or load windows on my SSD? (sorry - never done this before).

Thanks Frank. I just changed the boot order so my dvd rom is first. Howver, I downloaded the bios update to a flash drive and went to ASUS EZ Flash Utility and the flash drive doesn't show up. Thoughts?

FAT - i don't know why it doesn't see it. Any harm in loading OS and then updating the bios from the AI Suite?

Nope. I flashed my BIOS on my p67 Pro before I did anything else.

You can try an external HDD if you have one. I don't see their being an issue if you install the OS then go back and flash the BIOS. I wouldnt do it from AI suite. I would do it in the BIOS.

One more thing: The cd that came with the MB - as I understand it those are drivers and AI Suite which all have newer versions I will want to download and install. Do I need to do anything with that DVD?

I really appreciate you guys helping me with these stupid questions.
