Hey guys,
I just finished building my file server a couple of days ago.

Im unsure what os to pick, im currenly using windows home server and its good but theres problems that i dislike such as it not allowing me to access shares even though i have full permissions.

I want to have as much space available with redundancy.
So i dont mind using RAID if it requires it. WHS when duplicating data has to create a exact copy wasting much space if it had to duplicated 6tb of space.

The only problem is i only have 3x 1tb hdds and im short on money.

So when i do expand my storage i dont want to really start from scratch when using raid

I been looking at:
FreeNas (not sure)

So what do you think? should i stick with whs or change.
