HP dm1z Fusion?

Thread Starter
Hey all, I'm looking to get a laptop instead of upgrading my desktop. Ever since I saw the review on Engadget, I've been hooked. I love this thing. 5-6 hour battery, AMD Fusion, thin, $450, it;s everything I want.

I'm just wanting your take on this laptop, and if you guys have any other comparisons.

I think I'm going to go with the free upgrades it comes with maybe go with the 4gb ram, but other then not nothing.

So just wanting your opinion on what you think.

THANKS ^___________________________^

I recently orderred my own with 4gb, it hasn't arrived yet but at this price point and performance there is nothing close.

the dm1z has deceiving synthetic benchmarks from what I've read from people who have just received theirs, windows7 runs amazing, 1080p output happens at 20-50% cpu, and excellent build quality.

check out some youtube videos about the Zacate (fusion) platform and you'll see how it handles itself. all in all i've only heard positive things about this machine, the only down side being no usb3.0

I would say look at hp.com, and costco has it aswell with 2 yr warranty

+1 bro
only thing i'm worried about is hp build quality....if asus can come out with their Eee PC 1215B....i'll take that over the HP

cause the thing thats got me waiting is the asus 1215B has OC'ing and underclocking suites built in....awesome for a nice performance boost...but i do need a lappy by the end of feb so who knows?

i def want a fusion laptop though
