Amazon Prime's Shipping My 2600K With USPS

Thread Starter
I thought this was kind of weird. I don't have Amazon Prime, but my buddy has it, so I sent him the money and he bought my 2600K for me on Amazon. The 2600K qualifies for Amazon Prime's Free 2 Day shipping, so hey, why not.

When my shipping email came, I was surprised to see that it was a Delivery Confirmation number from the United States Postal Service, and not a USP tracking number. Now I know that a processor box isn't too big, but I think paying for Prime really warrants at LEAST a UPS delivery.

Just a thought, I'm not really complaining, unless the chip comes in totally damaged, which I sure as hell hope it won't.

if they lose your package, usps won't do anything unless your package has insurance. Usps screwed me once lol took them a month to just send me a apology letter . better cross your fingers, looks like u are already freaked out on your avatar lol

The last Prime item I ordered was also delivered USPS. It's one of those FedEx/USPS crossover deals where they hand the package off to the post office to make final delivery. Which is fine except it took 4 days for my package to arrive, not 2.

lol, i'll take usps over UPS anyday

My thoughts:
I love USPS. I have never had a shipment late with them. Prime usually is Fedex or UPS, I've never gotten a USPS # before. Most complaints with USPS come from people who get it using free shipping (like Egg saver) and complain because it takes 7-9 days to get the item. USPS Express and priority are both great services and I wouldn't have a single fear with the 2600K

Like jhaze84 stated, the Fedex/DHL to USPS crossover can add 1-2 days to shipping time. I ordered a book, batteries,a gift, and a filter, and for my vacumme using prime on thursday. The gift came on Friday, and the book, batteries, and filter came on Saturday. The Gift was UPS, and the Other stuff was FedEx with Saturday delivery. No Handover on the other stuff.
