You will just end up making him do a big mistake assembling his block.

Here are the instructions

You can see, that for the 1156/1155/1366 installation (steps 6 or 8), there are small stand-offs you must use in order to connect the back-plate currectly. Else you will bend the motherboard.

If you don't have them, you can email EK and ask if they can tell you the size of the stand-offs and you can get them at any good hardware store (just make sure you get plastic ones, and not metal ones).

Good luck.
on the 1336 image, they dont put on the Rubber back. is that intented?
I used mine anyway

Its because the CPU hold plate is different under the motherboard.
The backplace has a little space in it to fit.
I didn't put the rubber back on mine. Don't know if putting it is bad or not.

Defoler - thanks

do you (or anyone) know if that plastic standoff is something i can find at a hardware store?? or only from EK?

right now i have it mounted with just the metal&rubber plates... it seems to be fine my mobo has not flexed after tightening the springs.. i wonder if it's safe like this

I can't tell. Need to check at home the size of the stand-off if I have a spare.
But, you can get something like that in hardware stores. You just need to know the right size.
An exact measures, you can know by asking EK. I'm sure they will tell you.

And safe, I don't know.
If there is a space between the backplate and the motherboard, its not safe imo.

Ive found the standoffs in hardware stores around here, usually in the lanes withs the walls of loose screws and nuts they have teh plastic section. They're just plastic washers and should come in all sorts of sizes. Just take a screw for the mounting with you, make sure its wide enough and just about 2 MM thick.

My EK Supreme HF Came with 4 PVC spacers that I used on both my current install and when I was benching a P55 system.

They did come in a separate bag so look around in the box you should see a separate bag with the 4 spacers inside of it.

Sorry if I'm stealing your thread op or anything but I need the same information... Can someone link to like homedepot or something that have the standoffs?

Also, the PVC washers, do you place them ontop of the standoffs or something as shown in step 4?
