The fans that come with the kit are fine, if you want to upgrade them I'd get the GentleTyphoon AP-15 1850 RPM fans (also available on Jab-Tech).

EDIT: I would also recommend replacing the tubing - for $20 you can get 10 feet of quality primoflex stuff in any color you want. Just get the color of your choice in 7/16" ID 5/8" OD size.
Bigger tubing better I am guessing for flow rate, correct?

And I would need 3 of those GT AP-15's right?

can anyone point me to the 5% off code? Thx

Geez I am having no luck with the search function on that site.

Mine giving me links to the 20 feet of primoflex red? And the killcoil?

I would recommend 7/16"ID x 5/8"OD tubing with the 1/2"ID barbs since it is your first WC kit. The 7/16"ID tubing over 1/2" barbs is virtually goof proof. Tubing size makes little difference in flow rates between 7/16"ID and 1/2ID", the barbs themselves, blocks and radiators have more impact on flow rates than the tubing.

Tubing size doesn't really have an effect on flow rate. The reason I specifically mentioned the size was because it's the correct size for the fittings that come with the kit. If you got a different size of tubing it might not fit with the kit's parts.

You would need 3 of those fans, yes.

Yes, that is the correct tubing. Here is the killcoil:

I'd get 10 feet of tubing. While you almost certainly won't need that much if you make a mistake it's nice to have some headroom so you don't end up waiting for a couple days while they ship you out some more. Besides, any tubing left over can be used in a future rebuild.

So what do I do with that kill coil? I have to wrap it around a pen to make it into a coil then put it where? Sorry ultra newb question but lost. lol

And to by 10 feet I just go to Quantity "10" or is there a different product?

You don't have to bend it around a pen, but you can if you want. Just place it into the reservoir in a way that prevents it from getting sucked into the pump.

u can get away with even 6 feet, but get 10 just in case.

when you get the res/pump, it'll be easier to tell/see what we mean by the silver coil inside the res.

the water flow isn't going to move it, but u just coil it around, kind of screw it in the fill port of the res until all it is in and it'll flop into the res. i maneuvered mine so it's kind of lodged into place

Ok my total is 250 for the kit, 3 AP-15s sleeved red (lazy), kill coil, and 10 feet of red tubing. Sound like a good deal/set up?

How much better temps should I expect?

I'm going to say below 65C load but I could be wrong (could be even lower!). For $100 more why not throw in the GPU and get below 60C at Furmark load as well?
