[TH] Hot Hammerhead Case Mod Costs $2,900 - Page 10

It looks amazing but the price is just insane.
For that price it better transform into something!

that price is for the fully build(average at best) computer and case... the case alone (which isn't an option) would cost at least 800

Case is definitely unique but it fails to impress me on these points:

a. Kingston PSU: Why Kingston? Is it chosen because it has blue lights? It is my ignorance that I do not even know Kingston makes PSU.

b. Thermaltake SpinQ CPU cooler: Why? Is it chosen because it has blue lights again? It certainly can impress a PC-noob but I expect its cooling of the i7-860 (no pre-overclocking) will only be a few degrees better than Intel's stock cooler.

c. Its highly customization: This is also its major weakness. Eg its use of blue as the theme (eg using Asus ENGTX460) limits the choices of other cards for future upgrade (if you want to keep the theme). And, the side panel is cut precisely for the SpinQ and thus making other upgrades inconvenient. And, it is hard to setup a watercool system with this 'case'.

Good intention but fails at practice.

This design is simple and elegant. There's no black plastic, logos, or gimmicky paint jobs.

I noted this earlier - I'm almost positive that it's a Kingwin power supply - and that's far from a good thing.

Nothing like an ugly, open-air case cut to fit specific components.

Wonder how much they paid Tom's for a review, because any credible author would know that "one of a kind case mod" does not equate to something valuable, to any audience, for any purpose, or for any reason.

Purchasing this case would be the most illogical thing a person could do. This would only be purchased by people who look to flock of seagulls for inspiration.

And a tip for the modding newbs that say "**** THAT CASE REALLY IS WORTH $800 LOOK AT HOW ITS MADE..." they make computer desks almost exactly the same as that. If you want an easy mod as equally terrible as this garbage, go buy a terrible computer desk with stupid speaker/printer stands on the top, cut it in half, glue the sides together, and throw on a coat of cornflower blue.
