Google Spreadsheet

I read this chart at least once a week to check how I'm doing and for trying to figure out what I might buy next. It very handy. So is this one.

nVidia all the way to fold.

Stanford university seems to be paid out by nVidia, since they have been developing a GPU3 client for ATi since '08 and they still haven't managed to release a single beta.

Maybe that's the case, but somehow I don't think so. I think it is a matter of priorities by the vendors themselves. I have come across more than one article where Pande praises the help they have gotten from nVidia in developing video clients. And if it is nVidia helping Pande Group, then do you think they spend any time on ATI development? Of course not, for two reasons - one, they don't have the detail on ATI drivers needed, and two, they are competitors (doh!)

I think Pande and his colleagues are like any other university-based group looking for funding - aren't they going to be impacted by the help they get (money or other resources?)

Also, the biggest weakness in ATI has been their drivers. Maybe that carries over into help given to others on how to work with those drivers? Food for thought ....

That being said we would all love to see ATI become a good folding card - but don't you think that is more up to ATI than it is to F@h itself?

Remember, ATi scrapped their language last year (CAL, or Brook... something like that), so Stanford had to essentially start over.

Boinc folding works well with ATI/AMD cards I hear but you don't get any points for it. If your into that thing.
