AMD 955 vs Intel i5-2400

First of all, im sorry if you finds this hard to read, but in from Norway and my english is not 100% perfect

So, i saved my money for a long time now, and it's time to spend them on some pc components

I've allready found most of the parts i want to buy, so i just list 'em up here :

- Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus (i have looked on the Arctic Cooling Freezer 8 Pro Rev.2 too, but i've heard that the CM 212 is better, is it true? Maybe i even buy the Corsair !70 aircooler if it's any good)

- Kingston DDR3 HyperX Blu XMP 4GB 1600MHz (2x2GB)

- Samsung DVD-burner (i guess it'a a reader too)

- ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 ATX / ASUS P8P67 P67 S-1155 ATX (Depends if i choose Intel or AMD)

- AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE 3.2 GHz / Intel Core i5 2400 3.10 GHz

So, my big question is; Is the i5 2400 worth the extra 120 bucks ?
If i buy the 955 i guess i can OC it to 3.8 GHz with the CM 212, but with the 2400 i only can OC the Turbo Boost up to 3.9 or something.

Any suggestions?
ATM i've got the Intel E8400 OC'ed to 3.33 GHz with stock cooler, and i cant run any of 2011's games' smooth :3

My requirements is that i can run Black Ops at 1920x1080 with at least 50 fps average, and also i should be able to run BF3 with 1920x1080 and no lag when it come in stores.

Thanks for your attention =)

EDIT: I have now ordered the Intel i5-2500k

Well in the states, the i5 2400 is only like $45 bucks more expensive that the AMD Phenom II 955 BE.

Definitely worth it IMO.

hmm....if your willing to spend the money on a 2400, save up another $25 or so and just get an i5 2500k, that way you can overclock. A 2500k overclocked destroys a 955/965.

Unless you don't wanna spend more money, in that case 955 over i5-2400 (seriously un-overclockable)

So i checked the webshop that im gonna order from, and the 2500k costs 300NOK (51 $) more than the 2400, but i think i'm gonna buy the 2500k

I guess that when i OC the 2500k, i oc the standard clock, not the turbo clock ?
