Dead Space Door Glitch?

Thread Starter
I just started playing Dead Space and cannot get past the door at the very beginning of the game after you get your first gun. The door opens but you cannot get through.

Anyone have a fix?

Thanks.

Yep. See my post (#2). It's a refresh rate issue. You need to force it below 60fps (true vsync) in order to get past that door. Fraps is the way to go.

I restarted it and it fix this glitch for me. Spoiler, and alien is supposed to come through the door and sometimes it glitches. Thankfully this is in the beginning of the game.

Why didn't EA ever patch this? I see people also have problems with a few other spots as well. I was going to clock this game and grab dead space 2 but now since I see there is no support EA can shove it.

Thanks for the help.

That's weird. I guess I was lucky, this game was glitch free for me.

Hope you get it fixed.

I do implore you to carry on though. It's one of the best games I have played in recent years. You won't be disappointed.

Alright fraps did the trick, this game is a riot so far. I need headphones and I need to wait until night to play it though as this seems like Doom 3 only more so. All I know is I have never yelled at doors in a video game as much as I have already in this game. OPEN FASTER, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CLOSE.

I think getting the floors to open faster would need a faster hdd no? Just a thought.

And if your playing the PC version do you experience the mouse lag? thanks, kinda kills it for me on the pc, but I love it for ps3

turn off any v-sync in game and install riva turner, then in the riva turner folder go into tools and then D3DOverrider double click on the application and make sure u are forcing v-sync and tripple buffering

completely fixed mouse lag for me, make sure to turn the sensitivity up as well when u do this if u want more
