NFS Most Wanted FTW! - Page 2

Yeah this game was really amazing. I'm not really too hot at racing games but this one was lots of fun. Also, I don't mean to kinda derail the thread a bit but what do people think of NFS Hot Pursuit? worth getting?

i thought carbon was alright. I liked the canyons & dominating peeps online, but then again story wasn't too inspired or anything.

Hot Pursuit is an INSANELY fun game. However, its more of an arcade style game as opposed to careers where you have an account and collect and modify your own cars.

My thoughts:

Underground 2 - great
Most Wanted - excellent
Carbon - pretty rubbish
Pro Street - just rubbish
Undercover - OK but somehow better on PS2 than other consoles and PC, despite being dumbed down
Shift - quite fun but lacking certain things
World - bad
Hot Pursuit - alright but far from the level that Underground 2 and Most Wanted were on
Shift 2 - ???

And I haven't (properly) played any games before those.

Hot Pursuit looks pretty promising.
I loved Most Wanted!!!! Carbon was fun, Canyon and Canyon Drift was my favorite.
I absolutely LOVED ProStreet. My favorite more sim-feeling NFS game they have released.
Undercover was okay, kind-of a sequel to Carbon and Most Wanted...
Shift was a big let down. Too simulation for me...
Nitro is too arcadey for me, I haven't tried World Online yet due to my PC being down since December :/

Really glad my 300th post was about Need for Speed

After sinking a good while into Flatout: Ultimate Carnage and Burnout Paradise, I think I need to go reinstall MW now.

I thoroughly enjoyed NFS: Most Wanted. It's one of the best racing games and I'd still be playing it till this date if EA had better servers/there were more options/race types to choose from.

The game basically had everything.

-Hot European babe guiding you through the process of street racing
-Fast paced chases and cop intensity/AI actually had a brain if you played on hard settings.
-The storyline and plot was quite enjoyable. Ending was decent and made the player feel like he was living the actual street racing scene.
-Accomplishments were worthy of completing and Multiplayer had a nice simple fun feel to it.

and just so much more with the customizing, etc, etc... I remember when this game came out in Best Buy 06'(or 07 IIRC), some dude in Best Buy had a pimped-out Carrera GT that looked like a sweet Spiderman-Transformer type ride. I was left slack jawed at how unbelievable that paint job was. Till this date, there has still been no NFS games that i enjoyed as much as i enjoyed NFS: Most Wanted.

Though I usually don't like arcadish racing games I loved NFS MW! It was just too much fun!

I think most people seem to like the new Hot Pursuit as well. I however thought it was the most awful peace of crap. I use a wheel and found the controls horrible (insanely huge stearing deadzone for one ). I never had the feeling I was in any way, shape or form controlling a car. Kinda necessary for me in a racing game. But I'm probably a minority on this one.
