I think most people seem to like the new Hot Pursuit as well. I however thought it was the most awful peace of crap. I use a wheel
and found the controls horrible (insanely huge stearing deadzone for one
). I never had the feeling I was in any way, shape or form controlling a car. Kinda necessary for me in a racing game. But I'm probably a minority on this one.
This is why I got F1 2010 instead of Hot Pursuit. After getting a wheel and feeling the tires grip the road in sims like Race07 and GTR2 and feeling the tires lose that grip again when pushing it too far (or just not having any in Dirt 2
), I won't be going back to games that don't give that feeling. There's just something really great about feeling the weight of the car while taking a corner or fighting the wheel when you start sliding. And all those ported games just miss that. Sure, I can use the wheel, but when the Force Feedback is missing, there's just no point.Edited by B!0HaZard - 1/23/11 at 3:05pm
