Emprex Keyboard Problem /

Thread Starter
For my new build I bought an Emprex Gaming Keyboard USB - 5105gu.

After a couple of weeks I went to log in to windows and my password wasn't working. I noticed that the A key (amongst others) was not entering the letter so I plugged the keyboard into my laptop and discovered a handful of keys were not working

I took the keyboard apart and re-aligned the membrane thingy and all is working again. The weird thing is my PC is in my studio and nobody else had been in there

Was wondering if anybody has come across anything similar? Am also looking for a keyboard upgrade recommendation?

Ive personally had that kind of an issue once on an old membrane board i grabbed out of a trash can after my old board broke. The only rubber membrane boards i'd ever consider using nowadays would be hammer over membrane boards with individual cones, I'm never touching a membrane layer board again.
I recently made the jump to mechanicals and I dont regret it one bit. Typing this on a Cherry G80-1800 with blacks and the feeling is incredible compared to what i used to use.
You might be abe to grab a used mech board off your countries ebay for as little as 5 quid, and i'd wager you'd prefer it to your emprex any day. Cherry switches are a good place to start, either browns, blues, blacks tend to be people's first ones to try.

thanks for the recommendation ... rep up! There are not many on ebay right now so I'm considering one of the new Razor Black Widows - will see if my local shop has one in to try at the weekend
