Which headphone for gaming?

Thread Starter

I was browsing through slickdeals and came across a thread with these on sale

I have read that these that I just listed and these are good for gaming

My biggest question is which ones are better for gaming? Like FPS which heavily rely on sound i.e. CS:S. I listen to music too, mainly hip hop, not that that matter anyways since I want these headsets for gaming mostly.

Also note I use my AD300's the most. They are just so comfortable, I could wear them for hours on end and they feel like nothing. So, naturally I am inclined to the AD700 because they look like they'll fit the same as the AD300's. However, sound quality is priority. So, back to my original predicament, the HD595 vs AD700 for gaming. Which one?

Thanks

I have a pair of HD 202's, audiotechnica ATH-AD300's and ATH-A55's. As you can probably tell by my headphone collection, I am not a super duper audiophile. But, I have been wanting some higher priced headphone just to see what the hype is about.

I also would love to know this, bump for saving a second thread. I cant handle these crappy Razer Carcharias any more, so distorted.

Sounds interesting and can save some money, but for right now I really don't want to mod my headphones, lol

How big is your head? The reason i am asking is the ad700's are kind for big headed people. They have a better sound stage then the 555's do. But the 555's have better bass. So if you don't have a big tator head i would probably go for the slim fitting 555's.

Don't get me wrong you still can't tell you have the ad700's on but they are big though. good luck with your choice.
