Xeon X5680 - Possible stable OC concensus?

Thread Starter
Can anyone tell me a good estimate on the OC capabilities of the Xeon X5680 CPU? I'm trying to find out how much such a dual CPU setup can be OC'ed while it's still stable enough to be used for full load rendering, BSOD are not welcome

It really depends on the cooling. But let's say you go water. I'm pretty sure you could get a good 4600-4800MHz on both CPUS.

Wow, that sounds very good! Is there a MB you can recommend in particular?

For dual 5680? Easy EVGA SR2.
