Want to Replace my Geforce 9800 GT 512mb

Thread Starter
I am thinking of spending $500 in total for CPU, Video Cards etc to upgrade my current system. This is for casual gaming, play Empire Total War, Napolean Total war, GTA 4 . I want more FPS.

Are you spending this on new a new video card? 500 dollars is a pretty reasonable sum to upgrade with.

I would first suggest a new PSU such as this Corsair one.

After that PSU is upgraded, go for a GTX 570 like this one.

And for a game like GTA4, it's very CPU dependant. Try going for a higher overclock if you can on that Phenom II. You'll see improvements.

Get a new PSU, and look into getting a 570, you will see a huge FPS increase over your 9800GT

How about this combo from Newegg and add another secondhand 9800GT for SLI.

Could replace the GPUs later.
