HOW?!?!?!!??!?!?

show me one benchmark that showed a 5870 being equal to a crossfire 5870 setup.

STOP STATING YOUR OPINION AND SHOW FACTS!!!!

It is a fact that 2x5870s will outperform a single 5870
Herpa derpity derp, at 640x480 a 9800GT will perform the same as a GTX 580. Both are overkill. At 1920 by 1080 A 5870 will perform the same as dual 5870s, as at that res. it can't even use the card to it's full potential. Heck, I played JC2 maxed at 3840x1024 and didn't even get constant full GPU usage.

Does anyone have the accelero extreme 5870 gpu cooler?? If so, how would you set up the fans for crossfire? Also, does anyone have any recommendations for 5870 air cooling?

You could use that cooler in Crossfire if you could space out the cards and the lowest PCIe and highest PCIe support 16x and your case is deep enough to allow the lower cooler to hang down lower than the bottom of the mobo.

I have seen pictures, but I thought it was a joke.

The stock coolers are great and I don't see wasting money on anything other than water cooling. I have see the accelero cooler in person and didn't keep the card that cool compared to the stock cooler

Other than water cooling, do you have any recommendations? I don't think I need water as i'm not planning to OC them anytime soon.

If you are not going to OC them... why waste your money on aftermarket cooling?

I ran crossfire for a long time and the stock cooling was way more than enough.

I don't buy aftermarket GPU cooling for lower temps, I buy it for silence. The AC Extreme has 3 fans, and they are all silent. You are able to turn them down to inaudible levels if you're looking for a silent system.

Just tested this

Sorry, but out of 8 games I own, 6 had better FPS... by a margin at 1920x1200

Sorry, you're void
