I want to see what rpm's the fans are turning at by using the displays of my fan controllers.
Of course fans will work that don't have rpm sensors, but, they will not report the rpm's that they are turning. Can you now comprehend what I'm saying? I really can't simplify my explanation any further.
That's not what you said before.

I take it that you trust the Belgian Review Site and Forum MadShrimps?

Depending on the final total price I may very well double my order to 12 complete fans. No speed sensor=No Sale. Bare fans wi/speed control and included 3 wire tails, maybe.
You implied that the fan has to have an rpm sensor to work, and several others took your post the same way:

Rpm sensors are not needed for functionality and any fan controller will control a fan the same with or without the sensor.

It doesn't matter if it has a RPM sensor or not.

What does matter, is whether the fan controller will yell at you beeping away that it can't read the RPM or not. But most don't matter in that regard.

I know that my scythe pro controller doesn't yell. The FC-2 doesn't care.
A nzxt controller does yell if it can't read the RPM. But it will also happily under-volt a fan when asked to.

I figured it was common-sense that if the fan doesn't have an rpm sensor then you won't be able to get an rpm readout.

If someone else read your post they might incorrectly assume that a barebones fan wouldn't work w/ their fan controller. Just trying to clear that up is all.

If you want rpm sensor for whatever reason you are entitled to it. I just didn't want others to feel they needed it when they really don't.

Fans dont NEED rpm sensor, thats for nothing other then monitoring rpms, LOL. Who would think a fan required an rpm sensor? Theres MANY fans made without them. As long as these barebones come with wire leads, theres no problem.

I can't decide if I want completes or barebone fans. So sign me up for 15 barebones and 15 completes. That's 30 completely/boned fans total.
