So bare bones does not mean no wires just no connectors?
Also no tach wire
Would some one be willing to create a guide on how to put a tach wire on to the motor?

I have limited skill with soldering, but I have learned that a hot air gun works better than your avg. cheapo solder pencil

We aren't at that point yet, just wait and continue discussing these options until then. It's all we can do right now.

How about someone just makes a thread on how to attach these connectors? I'm a noob when it comes to wiring and stuff but if it's really as easy as everyone says it is and there's no difference between the bare bones and putting it on yourself and the one they're charging 13 dollars for I probably wouldn't mind doing it myself. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind being charged like an extra dollar or 2 just to have it put on and not worry about it either way. So for now, I think I'm just going to go and vote for bare bones.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned this earlier... for those of you that are afraid of crimping your own cables like me, just go out and buy fan tails like the one below (here's the link to buy them cheap, thanks to ehume for that ). Then just connect black to black and red to yellow and you're done.

That's what I did with mine. Again, thanks to ehume for the idea and the link.

I would if I had any pins left ...

Here is a guide I found after some googling.

http://moonshine.homedns.org:2655/wp...lex-connectors

You need to look here.

This is where you put them in the housing. (blue wire is usually black and White RPM is usually yellow)

That would be interesting actually...
I do not mind...
However I do want to see the rpm (tach) monitored as well so that would mean to have a 3rd wire to the connector...
So if the units come shipped with 3-pin connectors with 3 wires (as normal fans are) then I am happy to wait and perhaps pay a little extra...

But the shipping fees from U.S. to Europe (if it is going to be sent from OCN to end-users) aren't cheap to say the least...
So I am unsure now...

Everything OCN is shipped from Canada (appliques and lanyards are anyway)
