[Believe3d] Future of 3D TVs: Get ride of glasses or get ride of screens ? - Page 3

I'll take a ride of screen. Sounds exotic... the other seems nerdy.

A/w 3d tv glasses... really? The eye blinking thing seems like a better idea. I think current 3d tv's are just novelties. I'll wait for passive 3d.

I'm sorry, I have to say it.....

Get rid of the 3D.
It's strange. 3D cinema has been around since the 1950's, yet 60 years later we're no further towards producing a good 3d set up than we we're then. They went to the moon in ten years...

I think it will be a while yet before we see mainstream acceptable 3d tv, and wearing another pair of glasses isn't acceptable, it may be ok to watch a film on Saturday night, but can you really imagine wearing them everyday, the whole time you watch tv? That would be a nightmare.

Whilst the source is full of grammar mistakes (they're obviously not native English speakers), it doesn't say "RIDE" instead of "RID" anywhwere in the article.

The irony, both in life and in Pulp Fiction (as i'm certain it was Tarrentino's intention), is that i've yet to hear any American speak English! LOL

NOT NEWS. Please stop posting these fluff opinion pieces from this nonsense site in this forum. There are better forums to discuss someone's glorified blog.

With Kinect, you're intentionally devoting yourself to playing a game. That's the one and only way to use a Kinect, to play X360 games. (Homebrew scene notwithstanding.)

With TV, that is not the case. Of all the hours I have my TV on during the day, probably at most 25% of them has me sitting down and devoting all of my attention to it. The rest of the time it is on in the background while I am doing other things. I don't want to wear 3D glasses over my real glasses while I'm preparing dinner for my kids, for example. That, for me, is the reason glasses in general won't work. (The price tag is why IR shutter glasses don't work for me...but by "in general", I also mean the cheap throwaway glasses.)

If some average idiot doesn't understand that we don't have the tech yet, then he doesn't deserve to have the 3D we have right now.
What if I started asking why we can't fly to Mars for $5 yet? And told you that I wouldn't support this "whole space thing" until it became cheap. Would I look like an idiot? Yes!
I agree with you completely.

Today's 3D is not only totally different than 3D of the past, I find it quite enjoyable.
