No boot after using razor 5870 water block.

Specs
i7-950
p6x58d premium
diamond hd5870 2gb eyefinity 6
xspc rasa rx360 watercooling kit
xspc razor hd5870 waterblock

My computer simply wont boot when i try to run it with video card attached to 5870 razor waterblock.

However, if i put it back on the casing it came with via fan cooling it works.

Im using thermal paste on cpu and ram and i have checked it multiple times to see if it was applied correctly and its fine. Funny thing is, if its an heat issue, shouldnt it atleast boot and then crash? For some odd reason when i connected the fan on the heatsink case it turns using 100% fan speed when the water block is on the gpu. but if i connect the same factory case on to the videocard that it came with then it boots and the fan doesnt even sound like its pushing 60% of fanspeed. PLEASE HELP~

okay are you able to get to you os loding screen?? because if you arent then that means that it is a hardware issue probably your compupu is freaking out about the fan because mine does the same thing is i try to unplug sys fans; so i think the issue is just that you need to find a way to plug some type of fan into the gpu fan pin maybe try attaching the waterblock and have the fan fin connected to the stock cooler temporarily and see if it boots

Did you apply the thermal pads to the appropriate locations?

If you didn't use the pads, the block may be shorting something.

Are you using the thermal pads for memory and VRM's that comes with the block? I have P6X58D premium and don't have to have a GPU fan connected. Sounds like something may be shorting on the GPU's PCB preventing it from working with the block on.

Thank you soo much for you help. You guys were right. Something was shorting with the contact of pcb and the copper waterblock. I have put all the thermal pads correctly however the 2gb of this diamond 5870 card had more capacitors looking things that was raised up. I had to use more than the provided thermal pads to cover these areas next to the memory modules
