Indeed most people think they need way more power than they actually do.I just built a perfectly good pc and it only has a 65 watt psu!

lol, Ion/Atom? My HTPC is a Ion/DC Atom and has a 65w laptop PSU.

It's always nice to have the overhead for security, surges and piece of mind, even at the expense of a non modular PSU.

I find that Intel Burn Test and Furmark yield the highest wattage readings.

Lots of great info on this site. I've never really needed to ask a question by posting like a lot of people do. I just search and most times find what I am looking for. I was just amazed at how little watts i was using and thought maybe if someone was building a computer similar to mine that they would see, they don't need some 800w+ PSU.
