Hey people, first off, sad news.. My Samsung SyncMaster 2233RZ went up in smoke yesterday night, well perhaps not so dramatically, but it did smoke and didn't turn back on afterwards, so it's gone to repairs.

But now about the Samsung SyncMaster 226BW. I got it from the attic were it was staying when replaced and plugged it to my pc. First impression where fine, everything as I remembered it, so I started to look for driver for Windows 7 64bit, and apparently there aren't any. I looked for them because I remembered some kind of calibration software? But I didn't bother about it for long.
Now this morning I turned on my pc again and played some games and started to notice strange things, for example, the gradient with, for example, shadows looks very rough and layered. Also I noticed that letters that are condensed/close together or small are slightly fuzzy looking and have purple fringing around them. I also noticed the gradient problem in photoshop.

Could someone tell me what this is? There wasn't any of this when I had my Samsung SyncMaster 2233RZ, and I don't remember seeing it when I had my old monitor for the first time. Could it be the absence of drivers?

Any input would be welcome,
best regards, Jorund.
