Cancel the TX850 ASAP and get this instead: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16817151100
Much better unit for the same price. It looks bland but it's excellent.

Awww ****, the order is already processed. Can't cancel it once it is processed. Even worse is that this unit is $115 on NCIX. God damnit !

I just hope the TX850 is still a good unit.

Yes the TX850 is a good unit... it's just outdated and overpriced. Can't hold a candle to its competition nowadays. No one actually recommended it to you

Edit: Oh and let me add that there are far more differences between TX850, HX850 and AX850 than just efficiency and modular cables. They're completely different PSUs beside their wattages.

*facepalm*

I feel like a complete idiot now. Indeed, nobody suggested it. Oh well, it has to be much better than this old toughpower.

You're in for a surprise... I don't know which exact ThermalTake ToughPower 750W you have but some of them (if not all?) are built on the same platform as the Corsair TX750 and TX850, which means they perform similarly. Sorry to keep piling bad news on you

FUUUUUUU

Well I have a first gen Toughpower that I bought in early 2006. It's kinda old. Even if the Corsair performs similarly, I'm okay with that. The fact it pushes 100 more watts and that it's much younger will help for sure.

But yeah, after all you've said, it's a disappointment indeed :/

The Antec True Power New model range is really nice and really affordable, they are not fully modular, but you need those cables anyway so...
